We seek students to join our team for 40, 60, or 80 monthly working hours for teaching and/or research roles. Please review the main job opportunities page for general information.

Tasks and current projects

Teaching

General task description:

Assist in creating and grading exams or homework assignments.
Organize tutorials and office hours; communicate with students digitally and in person.
Provide technical support for course infrastructure (e.g., digital exams, grading platforms, managing student databases, handling admissions).
Proofread, enhance, and update lecture content.
Assist with logistical and organizational tasks, such as organizing exam days.
Contribute to improving course content and structure based on advancements in the respective field.

Python Programming for Machine Learning (PyML):

Help with backend tasks like improving the infrastructure for digital examinations and grading
Help with creating/grading exams
Organizing tutorials (our current lead tutor will probably graduate after the summer term 2025)

Application details

Tutoring/teaching opportunities

Bachelor’s courses (currently “Cognitive Algorithms” only) and roles with (almost) no research:
- Align with the CA course organizers.
- Apply through the faculty IV website (unfortunately, only available in German) and not directly to our group. German skills are not required (course organizers can assist with language barriers for the application form).
Other tutoring/teaching roles (e.g., for our Master’s courses): Apply directly to our group using the regular application channel outlined above.
