Thomas Schnake is a postdoctoral researcher in the Machine Learning Lab at the Technical University (TU) of Berlin and the Berlin Institute for the Foundations of Learning and Data (BIFOLD). He received his Ph.D. from the Machine Learning Lab at TU Berlin, following an M.Sc. in Scientific Computing from TU Berlin and both a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mathematics from Humboldt University of Berlin.

During his Ph.D., he focused on research in the field of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI). His undergraduate studies concentrated on stochastics and numerical mathematics. He also gained professional and research experience at ebuero AG and GFaI e.V. in Berlin.
